In the News

On 24th and 25th Sept 2010 we held a public consultation day to get the views of local residents on our proposals before we submit planning permission later this year. It was a great success and over the two sessions, over 50 local residents came to the event, talked to us and shared their views. if you live locally and want to send us your views, please email us (This email address is being protected from spambots. Public Consultation: Old Wyther Park School site

Friday 24th September, 2-5pm and

Saturday 25th September, 11am-3pm

Victoria Park Gardens on Victoria Park Avenue, LS13 2HP

The proposed development is by LILAC Mutual Home Ownership Society. LILAC is a not for profit housing co-operative which plans to build 20 affordable, sustainable homes with a small common house with some facilities for the local community. We aim to submit a planning application later this year. We welcome views, ideas, questions and comments on what we are planning from those who live in the local area. Lilac is looking for members. If you are interested in living in LILAC or want to chat more about the plans, come along to this event or get in touch via this website. Consultation organised by LILAC, White Design architects and Victoria Park Neighbourhood Watch Group.

On 16 November 2009 LILAC had an excellent launch event at the Carriageworks with over 60 interested people attending. As well as people joining as 'friends' of the project, a presentation (viewable here) detailed how the development was progressing. There are currently just 16 households left available.

The event was also covered in the Evening Post and Leeds Guide.

Lilac is a Mutual Home Ownership Society (No. 30689R)
